How to use torrent (Bittorrent/Utorrent)

I Have Seen on many blogs and other discussion forums, where torrents link are given to download some files, people asking about how to use those torrent links, So here we are with this post to spread this knowledge of how to use these torrent clients and websites to download useful faster, and for free.

Bit-torrent and U torrent are two torrent applications which are used to download files from torrent websites like kickass, thepiratebay, h33t, et cetera
They provide movies, songs,software like operating systems(pirated), games and many more things.


Some Users upload the torrent files of those files to be downloaded and seed them, due to which other users can download those files indirectly from that uploader, through peer-to-peer connection in  piece



Many of them who are beginners to use these clients complaint about torrents not working.
Some of them are like

• I am not getting the speed of download which I should.
• Torrent not even initializing.
• Torrent downloaded but having virus.
• Downloaded files/folder/rar file is not containing appropriate files which should be there.

I suggest some tips to follow before downloading torrents from torrent websites so that u don't face above mention frequent problems:

(I will use term file for whatever to be downloaded. It can be a movie, song, software, games anything which can be downloaded through torrent)

• First of all search on torrent search engine for the files/movies/songs you want by just using keywords like done in the below example.
• Don't use complex sentences to search for your files.
• If you find your searched object in the search as shown below, than check for the highest rated link on the right side(marked red rating 4 in below image)

• The section marked with blue is of no use for general users hence even if there is no data of your search on torrent , the search will come up with that section and the rest below it will be empty.
• Now if you don't get your search resulted in this torrent search engine try using Google to search about your file, Use this kind of syntax to search for torrent link for your files
• file name download torrent OR file name torrent download
• e.g. vlc media player torrent download OR vlc media player download torrent
• This kind of search will come up with search result which are frequently used on torrent's website and also , in most of case, helpful and successful for your file search.
• The first five to ten search results (links ) would be of torrent websites only.
• You can visit those link by first looking at the blue headline , matching keywords(shown in bold below heading section) and the link between them.
• Now if you successfully get a search result where you get your file name matched.
• Than you can visit recommended websites first.
• Now comes the portion where you have to check some specification like you check when you buy a phone.
• First check the files section in which you will get the details of file you are getting in the download, details of each and every file and folder will be provided to you.

H33t example

• Some Websites do not provide details of files included in the download so be careful about all the steps.
• If that torrent is rated 4 to 5 or above than there will be some comments or may be much comments in the comments section, so read them, as they are much useful in providing information about the quality.

• In the above example you can see three tabs (main ,technical, and comments), You must read specs provided in technical section and main section and read comments for review.
• Many of the users complain about the torrent file not working or not able to start download, for that first of all while downloading the file check the seed and leechers of that torrent which is provided on all of the torrent websites.
• If the amount of leechers are more than seeds OR seeds are zero than the torrent, either wont work if seeds are zero, or it would be infected by viruses if leechers are more.
• So if the above case match your case of torrent, I recommend to ignore it, you can take a chance to download those files in which leechers and seeds difference in not much more (10-20), but zero seeds wont work at all.
• I recommend to download files only from recommended torrent websites, but at the end it's your choice.
