If you want to skip a bit of story thing than leave two paragraphs below this line, and read from "Follow these steps".       Recently many of friends, and friends, were having final submission of project reports in their respective engineering fields and they had a requirement of setting customized page numbers, for example: Some of them wanted page number starting from second page in roman numbers and after 10 pages again page numbers should start from 1 in normal numbers, with the first page having no page number because it was kind of title page.                Hence they thought that it is quiet a tough job for them as they were from civil and mechanical engineering branch and didn't even moved there fingers on keyboard to type a little, very common query  on google like- "Set Custom page numbers in Microsoft word".
