Episode
12: Down the memory lane
So, remember me? We met like some 2 years ago, remember? No? Let me
try it another way:
You don’t need to know, what my name is, or who am I actually! All
you need to know is the story I am about to share with you all. The story that
matters, and the story that needs to be told! We know that sometimes, some
things happen with some people that are actually unbelievable, strange and
eccentric and this story is no different. These things or the series of events,
change us for the better or worse, and decide who we become. So, assuming that
you are ready to believe whatever I say and believe the not so obvious, I
present to you the story of the unbelievable!!
Now do you remember me? I hope you do, ‘cz
I’ve finally decided to share with you the story that remained. I hope it will
be a fun ride, like the last time with you and I, sailing through the tides of
time and recreating what I call a very personal story! But before we do that,
how about a quick tour down the memory lane to the events so far? Ready? So,
here we go….!!
Last season here, we met the protagonist of
the story – a young guy named Abhay Singhania, who lived with his roommate
Ronit and landlord Sharmaji. We also met Abhay’s neighbor, soul mate and a
sister like best friend Ritika, who was his angel as Abhay liked to call her.
And the cutest part of the story was the fur ball – Vodka, a golden retriever
gifted to Abhay by Ritika on one of his birthdays.
Trouble with his otherwise peaceful life
began when a man who called himself the stranger, began harassing
and blackmailing Abhay with cryptic phone calls and creepy messages, without
actually revealing his true identity. It was clear that Abhay had some shady
past buried deep within him that had something to do with a girl called Sanjana
and a new year’s eve, and this guy – the stranger, seemed to know about it all.
With terrible nightmares that started
turning into realities the very next day, Abhay became sure of his inexplicable
psychological power – to see the future in his nightmares. Oblivious to
everyone else except Abhay, the threatening and blackmailing torture of the
stranger continued and Abhay’s migraine attacks worsened. The stranger for sure
knew a great deal about Abhay’s shady past and Abhay was paranoid.
The stranger, it appeared not only knew
about his past but about every single detail of his present life as well. And
everyone that Abhay loved – Ritika, Ronit and Sharmaji, began being the victims
of some or the other tragedies that the stranger took full responsibility of.
It appeared that the stranger had made Abhay’s life a living hell and he asked
Abhay to kill himself to stop the deadly rut. He was battling it all when he
had another nightmare – Ritika had shot Sharmaji. As much as he wanted to deny
it, somewhere in his heart he knew that his nightmares were just a glimpse of
an impending future, which meant his angel Ritika wasn’t an angel after all!
And soon enough, the nightmare turned into
reality when Ritika shot Sharmaji and Abhay. She had kidnapped Sharmaji. And
Abhay along with Ronit wounded up on a deserted island after the incident.
Ritika indeed had been a villain all this while! Well, on the dessert Abhay
shocked both Ronit and himself with his unbelievable combat skills and the
knowledge of the mystic island that they were on. It seemed that Abhay didn’t
remember a single thing from his shady past except for the New Year eve. From
magical leaves that healed even the deepest of wounds to the golden rabbits
that could grant wishes, it was unbelievably shacking and that Abhay knew so
much about the island and it was a shock to both and Ronit and Abhay.
Finally it was revealed that Abhay was in
love with a girl called Sanjana. And together they had been some sort of a team
on a mission, that Abhay had no memory of, in the present time. However, after a
New Year eve a few years ago, they both had been kidnapped by a man called Timothy
Francis, whom it seemed, was shot by Abhay himself, a few years ago.
Timothy seemed pissed at both of them and told Abhay that he (Abhay) was the first
warrior! The interaction revealed that Abhay and Sanjana together had a
few mystic powers and they had been on the same island – for some mission –that
Abhay and Ronit were at present. And it turned out that Abhay had killed
Timothy and his brother back then. Timothy had also mentioned a brutal and most
terrifying man alive – Sanjana’s father.
Timothy then had injected both of them with
something and next thing that Abhay remembered was waking up – half intoxicated
– on a strange place near Sanjana’s dead body and it appeared that he had
killed her. He then had got a letter that asked him to leave the premises and
save his life from Sanjana’s father who would avenge his daughter’s murderer –
Abhay! Along with the letter was the address to Sharmaji’s home and that’s how
Abhay had wounded up with Sharmaji, Ritika and Ronit. And that he had killed Sanjana
was a big guilt and his biggest secret, that the stranger was hell bent on
tormenting Abhay with. Other than that, Abhay had no recollection of his past
life before the Sanjana murder incident.
Back
to the present story: Abhay and Ronit were soon apprehended by Ritika – now a
cold and heartless bitch – and were taken to a strange palace, ruled by the
stranger. There they met a thousand more inmates and Sharmaji; and the stranger
left no choice for Abhay, but to kill himself. Ronit killed himself instead so that Abhay could live and that turned out to be another blow for Abhay. He
was then put into captivity with some other prisoners. He then remembered about
a letter Ritika had given him on his birthday, a year ago. He read it and it
was revealed that Ritika had actually been his angel all this
time and there was some big conspiracy going on there that she believed in
Abhay to tackle. She also told him that she was aware of his dark secret and
assured him that he wasn’t the one who had killed Sanjana so he should not feel
guilty about it.
Abhay then met another prisoner by the name
of Simons
– who happened to know everything that had been happening with Abhay
and it appeared that they had been on some sort of a team together before –
during the time that Abhay had no memory of. Simons kept addressing Abhay as the
captain, much to the surprise of Abhay. Simons broke them out of the
prison with the help of Vodka – Abhay’s pet dog that Ritika had gifted him with
– who god knows how, appeared at the prison out of nowhere.
When they broke out of the prison and
infiltrated the palace to rescue Ritika and Sharmaji, Simons assured Abhay that
he (Abhay) was a worthy individual with a lot more capacity than he had an idea
of and that he will remember everything at the right time. He also told Abhay
about his psychological power – his migraine attacks. It turned out that the
migraine attacks were in fact a warning sign for Abhay of an impending doom and
that whenever they were to face a problem or a casualty, his migraine pain
would shoot up, hence alerting him.
On their way back, they happened to rescue a
horde of golden rabbits – the wish granting rabbits – from the stranger’s cage.
They then met Ritika and both Ritika and Simons appeared to have known each
other for a long time. But before she could explain, they met the stranger face
to face. And the stranger turned out to be Sharmaji!!! It was revealed
that Sharmaji was indeed the delusor – the one bestowed
upon by the power of entering and altering people’s dreams. He was an elite
member of the dark forces and had planted all those fake nightmares in
Abhay’s head to turn him against Ritika. He then revealed the real reason why
he had been after Abhay to kill himself – because nobody but only Abhay could
kill himself for he was the first warrior.
It
turned out that the only way to kill the stranger aka Sharmaji was that Abhay
kill himself with him, for he had transferred Abhay’s blood into his body a
long time ago. Abhay asked Simons to take care of Ritika and Vodka. And on an
impulsive reaction and with the power granted by the wish granting golden
rabbits that he had saved earlier, Abhay attacked Sharmaji and embraced him and
exploded to death along with the palace and the everything in sight. Yes, he
chose to kill himself so as to be able to destroy the monster – the stranger aka Sharmaji. Simons took Ritika and
Vodka and disappeared from the scene as Abhay’s body lay motionless under the
debris of the palace.
So
this has been the story so far. Feeling up to date now? Even if you don’t, make
sure that you do, ‘cz I am about to tell you the story after this, really soon.
And it is as exciting as it can get. By the way, you still don’t know who am I
or what my name is, do you?
